DMI was created to train serious 3D animators, modelers, texture artists, video special effects artists, and 3D game modelers. Our program stands at the forefront of 3D Animation and Post-Production education by offering fast paced, hands-on training. Our curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning that closely simulates a real world work environment with its intensity and time frames.
The DMAD Program is divided into several phases of study. These phases include Interactive Media, Graphic Design, Broadcast Motion Graphics, 3D Character Animation, Poly and Sub-D Modeling, Video Editing, Digital Audio and DVD Authoring. Upon completion of the program, students will have the skills to immediately begin working in any of these areas. Without a doubt, the intense pressures of projects and deadlines prepare students for the demanding real world production.
The DMI facility is located on the bottom floor of Wilkin Hall on the, Tonkawa, NOC campus. The facility consists of the DMI computer lab and the DMI classroom/lounge. The DMI computer lab is where students will spend most of their time attending class and working on projects. Students will occasionally meet in the DMI classroom/lounge for either class purposes or to take a break from the computers. All students will have 24-hour access to the DMI computer lab, giving each student the ability to advance their knowledge of every program that will be used in the DMAD Program.
